Alas, Helene… so ‘not Sisi’ while still resembling her strongly. Her face is so pinched, the mouth so tight, her eyes are still beautiful and the brows would be lovely if relaxed. She seems rather unhappy, or perhaps wanting to smite something? Or perhaps it is just this image? Alas, to my mind she is the second prettiest in this bouquet of Royal Roses.
Helene, Helene, hardly a beauty queen. But the happiest sister, ultimately, to have dodged the FJ bullet, don’t you think? I suppose what’s most appealing about her is the calm, gentle spirit that blossomed as she aged.
